There are various styles and attitudes with which you can approach God.  How does your relationship with Him influence your approach?  What ways have been most meaningful to you?  How would you instruct a younger Christian to approach God so they can grow spiritually?

A recent Gallup poll on confidence in organized religion shows a continued decline.  What ways are you using to foster a true relationship with God, besides organized religion?  How does your experience with a church or organization help your relationship?  How can you guide others past challenges or pitfalls as they build their relationship with God?

We are called to be the spiritual leader of our family.  What about gaps in spiritual leadership within our extended family?  How should we proceed when we are invited to take that role?  What happens if there is a leadership void that we are not specifically invited to fill?  What practical things can be done to provide spiritual leadership over wide distances?

Anger is a strong emotion, and in our ministry we encourage people to affirm emotions and interrogate beliefs.  Where does your anger come from?  How can you interrogate your beliefs that arouse anger?  When is anger an appropriate response?  How can you manage anger to the glory of God?

Jesus spent very little time and energy contesting the Roman Empire, though it was an historically significant political system.  Why did He all but ignore such a powerful force?  What teachings and conversations are recorded about His interaction with government?  How should this influence our involvement in politics?  What attitude can we accept from His example to guide our lives?

We talked about the peace of God finding us when we are in agreement with His will.  How come my peace can seemingly evaporate by the actions of others, such as a driver on a cell phone or an impolite customer service representative?  How can I become immune to the influence of sinful others so that I can keep my peace?  What must change in me to make this happen?

Man and wife should be working together as one flesh.  How would you describe teamwork compared to “divide and conquer” as a work-along strategy?  Which roles are filled by husband and which by wife?  How are roles determined in your household?  What impact does this have on your identity, as an individual and as a couple?  Who decides?
