The way we relate to our earthy father has a big impact on how we are able to relate to our heavenly father. How would you characterize the interaction you had with your father? What strengths and values did your father teach you? What weaknesses and failures did you observe? In what ways have you over-stated his strengths? In what ways have you compensated for his weaknesses? How does your personality reflect your responses to him? What would you change, if you could, to redeem the relationship? How do these truths inform you about your relationship with God?
