How has He made good on His promises in the past? What is your attitude when “it doesn’t make sense?” What is your response to apparent conflicts? There is certainly no shortage of information out there, on any topic. How do you know you can trust what you hear or read? What are some symptoms of deception? The Proverb calls us to “Love the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.” What motivates you to love the Lord? How do you express that love? Who is ultimately responsible for this, you or the Lord? In what ways will that responsibility be manifested?

We mentioned last week that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob each had a call as patriarch to steward the covenantal blessing. Perhaps the great commission is the equivalent directive for all of us. How then do you perform the call of evangelism? Who is your target audience? How do you communicate the truth of God to them? What gets in the way of you performing the evidence of your call? How can you surrender by inviting the Holy Spirit to influence your time?

We believe God created us on purpose and for a purpose. How much of your life is devoted to accomplishing your God-given calling? What part of your life is dedicated to survival, doing things such as eating, exercise, and entertainment? How can you merge some things from the survival category with your purpose? How should you handle maintenance issues? In what ways can you merge your will with God’s will? How will that change your balance?
We will be meeting by zoom on Friday, the 17th.
Discussion question for April 3, 2020.
“For all the promises of God are YES in [Christ Jesus]” – 2 Cor 1:20. When are you able to claim a promise of God and proclaim it as already done? How do you reconcile a promise you believe with a conflicting current outcome? Who gets to decide the more powerful promise? For instance, Psalm 91 promises supernatural protection but John 16 promises trouble in this world. Are there loopholes to God’s promises? Where do you base your faith and confidence?
We will meet by Zoom conference again this week. If you would like an invitation, please send me an email prior to the meeting time.

What gets in the way of understanding His answers? When have you been confident in your prayers? How do you break a cycle of non-response from God? What advice do you have for younger believers to gain a more relational prayer life?
